This is an introduction to mechanics, heat, and wave motion. This is a calculus-based course for Scientists and Engineers.

The AP Physics 1 and AP Physics 2 Algebra Based courses are designed to promote student learning of essential physics content and foster the development of deep conceptual understanding through an inquiry-based model of instruction. the instructional approaches utilized in this manual are informed by several decades of research on student learning and knowledge construction, especially with regard to Physics principles.

Pre-requisite, in general, is Calculus 101 or AP Calculus AB

Summary                       :

This 1st session in the course that can help to prepare learners who wish to continue their social sciences education after high school, as well as learners who wish to perform exceptionally well on the exam. The level of aptitude in this subject will assist learners wishing to excel on the local exam and in the college courses.

AP Physics is a course designed to provide a systematic introduction to the main principles of natural philosophy. It will help learners gain a conceptual understanding of different subject matter as well as develop problem-solving skills using Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus. Most colleges treat Physics as a full-year course, so the course load might be more extensive than other AP classes. Students in other majors may use an AP Physics course to bypass taking other science classes while enrolled in college. Before taking an AP Physics class, students should have a firm grasp of mathematical terms and functions. It is recommended that students take at least one Algebra class and have some experience dealing with trigonometry.

AP Physics includes four, separate examinations that are offered as part of the College Board’s Advanced Placement Program.
