Introduction
The Pearson Edexcel Advanced in Physics is designed for use in schools and colleges. It is part of a suite of GCE qualifications offered by Pearson.
As an addition to Edexcel AS Physics. Now, we are aware whenever anything happens, energy is transferred from one form to another – indeed, without energy things simply can’t happen! The learner will learn that energy can be transferred into many different forms, including sound, light, movement, heat, and potential energy. Although, energy is never destroyed, in every energy conversion some energy is “lost” to the surroundings.
While learners are aware the electromagnetic spectrum is a family of waves, varying in wavelength and frequency. Although it is continuous, it is helpful to consider groups of waves within the entire spectrum that have a smaller range of wavelengths and frequencies. That means we can make electromagnets that can be switched on and off.
In addition, many started to consider atoms. Atoms are made up of sub-atomic particles called neutrons, protons, and electrons. it is the number of these particles that give each element its unique properties.
Finally, in the last unit, learners investigative skills will be trained by some of the questions in learner examinations. This part summarizes some of the skills learners may be asked about.
